SOLUTIONS - DAX Broadcast Archive - Solution
The broadcast ingest-editing-archive workflow can be managed by means of Square Box’s CatDV, which catalogues and manages all ingested footage using watchfolder technology. This can also include generating lo-res proxies, thumbnails, adding metadata and publishing collections of clips in the form of video catalogues on the network.
DAX File & Folder Archive Software interfaces seamlessly with CatDV behind the scenes, facilitating the connection between the central storage and the deep archive. Management policies determine which and when files are removed from the on-line hard disk storage to the deep archive on Blu-ray Disc or LTO.The internal hard disk cache provides instant and easy access to the most recently archived/retrieved images and all lo-res previews.
