When I try to launch DAXplorer, I get the error Unable to launch DAXplorer. Why?

When Java Web Start launches DAXplorer, it uses its ip-adress to locate the smartDAX server. When the ip-address is not in the no-proxy list, it will try to launch DAXplorer via the firewall which does not work.
This means that the smartDAX servers ip-address must be in the no-proxy list of the browser. Even if the hostname is used to access the smartDAX server, the ip-address must also be in the no-proxy list.
